My face is freaking sore from smiling after going through every gallery of my 2016 wedding clients and choosing some of my favorite wedding images of the year. It was so hard to not choose a hundred images per wedding because each day had so many amazing moments and people. I can’t handle all the goodness and beauty I was surrounded by and was able to photograph. This was such a good year for me and my heart feels so full after reflecting on each wedding I photographed and the couples I got know. So many of you were incredible to me- treating me like family, sitting by me at your wedding lunch, offering me a drink, pointing out the donuts (which you know I love) and making sure I took a favor- you all are beyond good to me. I made so many friends this year and that is such a joy…it’s why I do this. It’s not about pretty details or money or designer brands, although that stuff is baller to have! It’s about my clients and making connections and 2016 was such a good year focused on that. To the 14 couples that invited me into one of the most special days of their lives and allowed me to capture it- thank you. You guys are complete rockstars and I have so much joy and pride knowing that I created some of my favorite and best work with you.
Without further adieu, here’s my top 2016 wedding photos!
I photographed weddings in Indiana, Tennessee, Kentucky and Ohio and shot around 50,000 images. (This doesn’t even include my other sessions or weddings I second shot!) HELLO IMAGES!
Thanks to Evy Porter for being an incredible second shooter and dealing with my crazy…aka me. 😉
Special thanks to all the vendors (wedding planners, catering, floral, make-up artists, hair stylus, venues, dj’s and live bands) who made all these humans’ days so wonderful and for family and friends for allowing me to be a part of their peoples’ special day. Not a moment goes by that I’m not grateful. Cheering all my couples on and thanking you, my online community, for cheering me on.
LET’S DO THIS 2017!!!
ps. I’m still booking 2017 weddings and would love to talk to you about your day. www.gretchenrobards.com is where you can find me!
